India is a wonderful holiday destination - from the food to the people, places, colours, sights, wildlife, shopping and more...the list is endless. Here we have a short video with some of the highlights of India.
The Terracotta Warriors in Xian China are an incredible sight. Hundreds of life sized warriors (no one warrior is the same) made from terracotta that were buried with an Emperor to protect him in the afterlife. We (Nikki and Nicola) loved our visit here in July 2017 and found it very fascinating. We made this short video where our gorgeous tour guide Xing Ding Yin explains the formation of the army.
In China you can feast on lots of delicious food but there are a few things you wouldn’t want to eat! When Nikki and I (Nicola) visited earlier this year we came across a stall in Xian selling some things we absolutely would NOT want to eat as you can see in this video.
Here we have Nikki and Nicola at large in China again. We loved our private tour and it was such great value we wondered why anyone would want to go on a big group tour in China. We have heard so many nightmare stories of big group tours in China where there was pressure to buy things, being rushed here and there and not even having time for a pee.
This short video gives you a snippet of what a private tour versus a big group tour in China looks like.
This is one of our favourite videos. Nikki and I (Nicola) took it on our recent visit to China.
In Asia it is really common for people to go to the park and do their morning exercises together. Here in the local square in Xian, you can see everyone doing their own thing, having fun and respecting each other. There is something happening in every direction you look.
There is a reason why Japan is such a popular destination, but it is much more fun to visit on a private tour or small group tour.
We specialise in tailor made travel for Japan and have a wonderful local team of experts. Choosing a private or tailor made tour of Japan allows you to enjoy the exact holiday you would like, travelling where you want and at your own pace.
We also have a growing selection of ready-made tour packages and private tours...
In this final episode of our 6 part series on how silk is made at the The Suzhou, No 1, Silk Factory in China, we look at the end product. So this one is not really so much about making the silk but what is made out of the silk and what you can buy in the huge shop that is in the factory. Amazing all this started with a little worm!
