Hue is a wonderful place to visit - a former Royal City set on the banks of the Perfume River.
Travelbay's 11 Day Very Best of Vietnam Tour does not visit Hue. However, for an additional AUD$130 (approximately) per person customers on this tour, have the option of changing the itinerary on Day 8 to include a visit to Hue.
If you choose this option, then the itinerary of Day 8 of your Tour will be as follows:
After breakfast you will be collected by bus for a three and a half hour journey to Hue. Hue is the ancient capital of the Nguyen emperors, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and wandering the city will take you back to imperial Vietnam. With tombs, monuments and pagodas, a river setting and stunning beaches, the charm of Hue is captivating.
Upon arrival in Hue, visit the Citadel, Hue’s prime attraction, which contains the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor's Private Residence. After lunch take a boat cruise on the peaceful Perfume River, visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest religious building in Vietnam and the Khai Dinh Royal Tomb designed to blend in with the natural surroundings.
In the afternoon transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
