Exited and climbed up wooden stairs with gaps in so I could see the drop no matter where I looked. It was so windy I could hardly take photos as the wind was trying to whip my phone from my hands. My legs were jelly and my heart going so fast my Apple Watch thought I was doing a work out.
Next we descend to 650m to go walk the sky bridge - to get there I had to cross a wooden platform, more wooden stairs, a metal platform (imagine scaffolding) and my worst nightmare a spiral staircase!! All this atop of the windy mountain with drop offs and nothing below me.
Finally we get to terra firma through a lovely rainforest walk before we came out at the worlds longest curved suspension bridge which sits 250m above the rainforest canopy.
Thankfully we could get a funicular back to the cable car station before we tackled the descent so I didn’t have reverse traverse the spiral stairs etc. I’ve never been so happy to be back on the ground.
Now if you like heights this will be right up your street, the construction of the cable car and bridge is amazing - sadly I was too scared to appreciate it.
