Travelbay in the Media - Vacations & Travel Magazine - Laos Tours 1

Laos, nestled between Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand is a simply gorgeous place to visit. Amid the UNESCO World Heritage towns, laid-back capital of Vientiane, spectacular waterfalls, limestone karsts, lush jungle and so much more, you will find a nation of kindhearted people with big smiles.

Laos is still somewhat undiscovered and while tourism is well set up, it’s not overbearing. The main tourist spots are on the path from Luang Prabang to Vientiane, including Vang Vieng. Beyond this you will find Phonsavan and the Plain of Jars. Further south, discover the Bolaven Plateau and its many waterfalls. Also in the South you will find Si Phan Don which is known as 4,000 Islands, a beautiful part of the Mekong River.

All that is lovely in Laos

Travelbay offers Private Tours to Laos that allows visitors to have the luxury of a private guide, driver and vehicle.

The roads in Laos can be windy and the driving slow going – the country is still relatively underdeveloped combined with a landscape that doesn’t allow for flat, fast roads: there are no fast highways in Laos. With your own private vehicle you can sit back, relax, enjoy the scenery and observe daily life as you pass through small villages and the countryside. And when you see a photo opportunity or want to stop at street-side stall – just ask your guide and driver, as it’s you who sets the pace.

With a private tour you have your guide to yourself – you can chat about the history of the country or ask about daily life, their family and get an insight into the life of Laotians. You can ask as many or as little questions as you like.

When you are out sightseeing, essentially you are in charge. If you’ve seen enough, you can head off to the next place. If you want to stay a little longer, sit and rest or explore a bit more, this is usually no problem. Sometimes there may be time constraints for certain things but generally speaking, things go at your pace.
